Hope Academy provides a 3 hour a day Summer Program designed to meet your child’s specific educational needs. The academy’s contemporary facility provides air-conditioned classrooms with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Students will enjoy the positive reinforcement in their primary subjects while improving scholastic skills and building self-esteem. Within this fun environment, students will receive the instruction and support they need to maintain and excel in their academic and social growth. · Reading: focuses on each student’s individual level with added emphasis on building an extensive vocabulary with increased comprehension and fluency of text material, short stories and poems. · Mathematics: improves computational and analytical skills, increases conceptual development and emphasizes the necessary understanding of word problems. · Writing: develops learning organizational strategies for correct grammar, usage and mechanics of writing. Study skills are taught as a necessary component of basic writing skills, outlining and editing. |
